Normal summer transmission resumes and London goes back to being grey and warmish and intermittently drizzly. Suburban smorgasbord

I should say here that we don’t live in the lap of luxury. We live in a modest, drafty, slightly mouldy three-bedroom, one-bathroom 150-year-old villa.
